Mission Statement

Our mission is to improve the

lives of veterans, active-duty military    first responders, Gold Star members, Retirees from

either and their families by using the healing power of the outdoors to build lasting friendships,

restore hope, and strengthen mental wellness. Through fishing,

hunting, camping, and other outdoor adventures, we create an environment where heroes can

step away from the stress of everyday life, reconnect with others who understand their journey, and discover that they

are never alone. We believe that some of life’s greatest healing happens around

a campfire, on the water, or in the woods, where laughter replaces isolation, purpose replaces despair, and every adventure reminds our heroes

that their service will never be forgotten and that

their next great chapter

is still ahead.

For years, I thought my story was over. After two major knee injuries, 21 years of chronic pain, 13 knee surgeries, a 15-year battle with prescription pain medication addiction, a failed suicide attempt, and nine months of homelessness, I somehow found the strength to keep going. Today, I share my story because I want every Veteran, First Responder, Gold Star Member and Retiree who joins an X-22 adventure trip to know that if I can find hope and purpose again, so can you—and you never have to walk that journey alone.

X-22 Adventures isn't just an organization to me—it's family. Every trip reminds me that healing doesn't always happen in a doctor's office; sometimes it happens on the water, around a campfire, or through a simple conversation with people who truly understand. It's an honor to help serve the veterans and first responders who have sacrificed so much, and I look forward to creating memories, laughter, and hope with every adventure we share. I can't wait to meet you on the next X-22 Adventure.
